DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN HALIFAX
Welcome to Halifax, Nova Scotia, and the beginning of your Canadian Maritimes adventure. Arrive at Halifax International Airport and make your way to your downtown hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to relax or begin exploring Halifax’s lively waterfront, restaurants, and historic streets.

DAY 2: EXPLORE HALIFAX
Spend the day discovering Halifax, a vibrant Atlantic Canadian city set on one of the world’s largest natural harbours. Explore the historic waterfront, visit the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site, stroll through the beautiful Public Gardens, or enjoy a harbour cruise. Halifax’s museums and historic sites reveal the city’s fascinating maritime heritage.

DAY 3: HALIFAX TO WESTERN SHORE | 75 KM
Follow Nova Scotia’s scenic Lighthouse Route to Peggy’s Cove, one of Canada’s most photographed coastal villages. Walk among the dramatic granite rocks and admire the famous lighthouse overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
Continue along the coast through picturesque communities such as Chester before arriving at Western Shore.

DAY 4: LUNENBURG and MAHONE BAY
Discover two of Nova Scotia’s most charming coastal towns. Visit Mahone Bay, famous for its waterfront and iconic churches, before continuing to Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its colourful architecture and seafaring history.
Explore the historic streets, visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic, and, if she is in port, see Nova Scotia’s legendary Bluenose II.

DAY 5: WESTERN SHORE TO KEJIMKUJIK & DIGBY | 158 KM
Travel from Nova Scotia’s rugged South Shore toward the lush Annapolis Valley, passing forests, lakes, and peaceful countryside.
Stop at Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site, where hiking and paddling routes reveal the natural beauty and Mi’kmaq heritage of the region. Continue to historic Annapolis Royal, with time to visit Fort Anne, galleries, and local shops.

DAY 6: DIGBY TO SAINT JOHN | BAY OF FUNDY FERRY
Cross the spectacular Bay of Fundy by ferry from Nova Scotia to New Brunswick. Upon arrival in Saint John, settle into your hotel and explore the historic downtown and waterfront.
Enjoy local restaurants, heritage architecture, and the relaxed atmosphere of this historic port city.

DAY 7: SAINT JOHN and ST. ANDREWS-BY-THE-SEA
Enjoy another day exploring Saint John, New Brunswick. Visit local museums and galleries or see the famous Reversing Falls Rapids, where the powerful Bay of Fundy tides create a remarkable natural phenomenon.
Alternatively, take a scenic drive to St. Andrews-by-the-Sea, a picturesque coastal town known for its historic charm and excellent whale-watching opportunities.

DAY 8: SAINT JOHN TO MONCTON | 152 KM
Travel toward Fundy National Park and Hopewell Rocks, experiencing some of New Brunswick’s most impressive scenery along the way.
At Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park, witness the extraordinary tides of the Bay of Fundy. At low tide, walk along the ocean floor beneath towering rock formations sculpted by millions of years of erosion.

DAY 9: MONCTON TO CHARLOTTETOWN | 164 KM
Travel toward Shediac, proudly known as the Lobster Capital of the World, before following New Brunswick’s scenic Northumberland coast.
Cross the impressive 13-km Confederation Bridge to Prince Edward Island, Canada’s smallest province. Arrive in Charlottetown, a charming historic city known as the Birthplace of Confederation.

DAY 10: CHARLOTTETOWN TO BADDECK | 272 KM
Leave Prince Edward Island and travel by ferry across the Northumberland Strait to Nova Scotia. Continue through peaceful countryside and coastal communities toward Cape Breton Island.
Follow the shores of beautiful Bras d’Or Lake to Baddeck, a welcoming lakeside village and ideal gateway to the Cape Breton Highlands.

DAY 11: CABOT TRAIL & CAPE BRETON HIGHLANDS
Today experience one of the highlights of your Canadian Maritimes tour – the legendary Cabot Trail.
Drive through Cape Breton Highlands National Park, where mountains meet the sea and spectacular viewpoints overlook rugged cliffs, beaches, forests, and the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Stop for scenic walks and explore communities shaped by Scottish and Acadian heritage before returning through the beautiful Margaree Valley.

DAY 12: BADDECK TO HALIFAX | 351 KM
Travel south toward Halifax, with the option to follow Nova Scotia’s scenic Marine Drive.
Stop at Sherbrooke Village, where restored historic buildings and costumed interpreters bring 19th-century Nova Scotia to life. Continue to Halifax for your final evening in the Maritimes.
